Well this board is like most other boards I am used to. Well I am getting ready to start my season in a week with an event for 1000 and I am getting anxious.
Come on, who's next? And it has spell check! No excuses now.
Just trying things out. That is a lyric from my jingle, FYI

Yee Haa ! GOD was good to me this morning as I opened my e-mail..... 2 events,1 at a school.. and the other at a giant corporation.... Thank God,now I can pay theese winter bills I aquired..... I see a lot of familiar faces on this new board,best of luck to everyone in the season that has arrived...

Great timing - My season starts next week too (Hi Billy). I would have started sooner, but I'm working a seasonal job preparing taxes. Not only did I make a little money in the off-season, but I was able to save a ton on my 2007 income taxes.
This will be my second year selling ice cream. I still have much to learn about the business, but at least I have a handle on the basics (permits, insurance, purchasing product, record keeping...).
I'm not sure how to deal with the gas prices this year. I'm afraid any substantial price increases I make will destroy my sales volume. On the other hand, without a significant increase of sales over last year, the added expense of gas will kill my profits.
In any case, selling ice cream beats any other job I've ever had. Being my own boss is probably the best part of it.

1,000 person event... you are the man! congrats. Well it is over 2 hours away from town. It is for 750 guaranteed ice creams and cash sales over that amount. So I got a bit lucky. Ody - if you listen to my jingle by going to my website, you can imaging the lyrics with the tune. |
